so my last few cycles, i dont think i've ovulated.

im just wondering if theres anything i can take to make sure i ovulate or should i go and see a doctor?

i have heard some take vitex. Im going to try that next month to help get my bfp if i dont get it this month :D

Some ladies talk about soy isoflavones, over the counter. I am going to get some when this cd1 starts

Hi Agnus castus is another herb thats meant to help regulate your hormones and help u ovulate. Also have you tried those pee sticks? might help you see if you are ovulating. Another thing (TMI alert) do you check your secretions at all? when you are coming up to ovulation, you should start to notice them  good luck x

you can get vitex over the counter in most herbal stores! it is also known as agnus castus. it is said to balance out the hormones to help regulate your cycle and help ovulation. you can either take it in pill form or as a tincture. some believe the tincture has aquicker effect as the pill form may take between 3 - 6 months to work. i hope that helps!

What makes you think you're not ovulating Hun? My last cycle I didn't get the EWCM but I know I ov'd as I am using OPK's which showed positive then 12 hours later I ov'd then I got a temp spike which lasted the remainder of my cycle until AF came again. All I got was watery cm... Have you recently come off any bc? I am using Evening Primrose Pil this cycle to make my cm more fertile :)

thanks for all your replies!

yes im checking cm but it's never consistent with how its supposed to be during ovulation.

ive taken opks but they all come out negative. very frustrating. i'm going to holland and barratts tomorrow then to see what i can get over the counter

x

Have just started on agnus castus on Saturday, got that from Holland & Barratts. I know one person (personally) who credits it with helping regulate and there are stacks more if you read up on it. Good luck whichever you go for!

I take soy isoflavones.. which is supposed to mimic Clomid, but naturally, and with less side affects. Basically you take at least 80 mgs of soy (I bought mine at WalMart) on cd3-7, 4-8, 5-9 (you get the idea) and then stop.. some girls gradually increase the dosage.

I know this works. I was having long, irregular, anovulary cycles since Novemeber.. I tried soy last month and it took my 62 day cycle down to 38, I got positive OPKs & a convincing chart on FF, so as far as I can tell, I OV'd. It was kind of a miracle for me :haha:

I took it in this sequence this cycle:

cd3: 80
cd4: 120
cd5: 160
cd6: 200
cd7: 240

Some girls don't like to go over 200mgs.. some girls stay at 80 the whole time.. last cycle I took it CD5-9, it made me OV on CD26, so I took it earlier this cycle with the hopes it will make me OV earlier and thus make my cycles shorter.

My OH also has long, irregular cycles, and she started taking vitex/agnus castus (ordered from Amazon) in order to help regulate her cycles.. so far no good. She hasn't had AF in a while. She's been taking it for about 30 days now. So if I were going to recommend one of the 2 supplements, I'd recommend soy.

Good luck!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I now know which direction to take if no luck with the ac!
