I take soy isoflavones.. which is supposed to mimic Clomid, but naturally, and with less side affects. Basically you take at least 80 mgs of soy (I bought mine at WalMart) on cd3-7, 4-8, 5-9 (you get the idea) and then stop.. some girls gradually increase the dosage.
I know this works. I was having long, irregular, anovulary cycles since Novemeber.. I tried soy last month and it took my 62 day cycle down to 38, I got positive OPKs & a convincing chart on FF, so as far as I can tell, I OV'd. It was kind of a miracle for me
I took it in this sequence this cycle:
cd3: 80
cd4: 120
cd5: 160
cd6: 200
cd7: 240
Some girls don't like to go over 200mgs.. some girls stay at 80 the whole time.. last cycle I took it CD5-9, it made me OV on CD26, so I took it earlier this cycle with the hopes it will make me OV earlier and thus make my cycles shorter.
My OH also has long, irregular cycles, and she started taking vitex/agnus castus (ordered from Amazon) in order to help regulate her cycles.. so far no good. She hasn't had AF in a while. She's been taking it for about 30 days now. So if I were going to recommend one of the 2 supplements, I'd recommend soy.
Good luck!
