Hello, I like to knit and am pretty skilled in making what I want without a pattern. For example, I knitted a lemur, a sheep, and a squirrel without a pattern. I also can easily modify patterns. For example, I took a crochet pattern of a horse and turned it into a knit unicorn. I have also knitted a frog, platypus, sea turtle, dalek, squirrel, and more. Additionally, I have confidence in my ability to figure out how to sew. I once sewed a teddy bear without a pattern and with only childhood memories to draw upon for experience. I also turned a skirt into a stuffed octopus once. So.... Rather than having a teddy bear, what should my child's first stuffed animal be? I'm thinking maybe a steller's jay:

What suggestions do you have?

Or maybe a dragon. This is the year of the dragon after all.
