Hello all,
So I have had to unsuccessful IUIs. I'm 35 and have unexplained infertility.

I was on gonal f, ovitrelle and cyclogest for first one. Second time I was on menopur, pregnel and crinone. Both cycles produced 17mm follicle Max on day of trigger. I'm wondering whether this is a bit small? Any ideas on how to improve egg quality?

17 sounds like a pretty good size, but sorry you didn't get a bfp. You should definitely take coq10 because that is one supp everyone seems to agree on. There are many other supplements that can help too that you should research. Melatonin, L-carnitine, royal jelly, wheatgrass, low dose aspirin, DHEA, B-12, etc.

ETA: Your OH should also take supps for his swimmers.

Hi, hun! I'm so sorry for your failures. Recently I've come across the research as for the optimal follicular size in intrauterine insemination cycles with clomiphene citrate or letrozole I suppose this is not quite the meds you used but still I wondered what the results were. So, it said that for both CC and letrozole, higher pregnancy rates were achieved when the leading follicles were in the 23 to 28 mm range. However, for each endometrial thickness, the optimal follicular size of the leading follicle was different!! Each additional millimeter of endometrial thickness increased the optimal follicular size by 0.5 mm. Thicker endometrial lining led to a higher probability of pregnancy. That's why I believe your follicles showed a pretty good result but this might be no enough for the whole condition. I agree to the post above you both should try some supplements. Just consult it with your doc. Wish you all the best of luck :flower:
