I'm looking for a new duvet and there is so much choice. I've never had a decent one before, just cheapo from Asda which I hate! So what do you like? Which tog? Feather or synthetic etc?

I spent a fortune on our duvet. I bought an all seasons 4.5 & 9 tog that can be combined (although we never do) and I bought hungarian goose down. I love that it is so lightweight, I really don't like heavy duvets.

Sounds like my one, didnt spend anything as it was sil and she developed allergies

I have a feather one and I like it so much more than synthetic ones I've had in the past.

Ours is synthetic I think. 10 tog. It's not the best.

Ooh love our bedding!! We got all new bedding when we moved, inspired by our bed from our bridal suite - we christened it The Cloud!

We have a combined tog (4.5 + 9) in duck feather duvet, Christmas prezzi from Hubby's gran, a duck feather mattress topper from john lewis (we got voucher from sky when we moved which paid for that!) And got goose feather pillows from groupon - 4 for £20!
We love our bedding, its like slipping into a marshmallow!! 😀

(Though our bed frame desperately needs replacing!! Its currently propped on a block of wood in the middle, and now my side is dipping!!! 😴)

Thanks for the input, and the links mrsmandy!

We have wool ones there ment to be the best keep your body at the correct temp. I've read a lot of sleep studies done with them and people always had a lower resting heart rate with them. They are expensive though but worth it.

Id like to try wool.
we have duck and goose feather down? Or similar, had it for years I bought it from a website I cant even remember now and its a winter one with a separate summer one and you can attach them both together with poppers to make a super warm huge duvet!
I do love it but for some reason with these feather ones, they make lots of crinkly noises when you move and sometimes I think wouldn't it be nice with a synthetic one or something which is silent! I think it's the price you pay for feathers ( I know im weird)

No idea what mine is but it's squishy and lovely, god bless Ikea!
