I am going to be a new mum and wondered what sterliser / feeding bottles people recommend? i have read so many bad posts / reviews about Tommee Tippee on various retail websites so am a little put off and confused now!
xx

i wouldnt buy tommee tippee personally.
i do have a tommee tippee steriliser so cant recommend another one
i started ff on tommee tippee bottles and i hated them. they were the anti colic ones, made my lo's colic worse, the teat kept collapsing and u could see the air in the bottles so i complained and got a refund. they dont do what they're meant to do.
i moved onto dr browns bottles and would never look back. no problems with wind or colic since and she takes the bottle a lot easier- no bubbles/air.
careful with them leaking though, make them up and heat them in a different bottle (i use the cheap tesco ones) and then transfer them into the dr browns. u cant shake them because they have holes for the air to get out so ur lo isnt taking it in- thats how they work.
its extra washing of bottles but definitly worth it!!

i use the tommee tippee closer to nature ones and have been fine with them. The only problem we have is that both our LO's have needed the next stage up teat very early on (Annabelle has been using the 3 month + ones since she was 4 weeks!)

I've been using the Tommee Tippee CTN bottles since day 1. Erin gets on fine with them. We did try the Anti Colic ones for a change but they made her really windy  and the teats kept collapsing.

It's just a case of trial and error hun cos what suits one baby wont suit all.

We have the Avent steam steriliser and bottles. I bought a starter pack before I had Joe from babies r us which had everything we need https://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-...armers/Philips-AVENT-Baby-Feeding-Box(0028696)

It's been great for us! We also have a TT travel steriliser and bottle which has been good as well.

Hope that helps x

I have a TT steriliser it is fine. But... i am having the same problems with the anti colic bottles as the other ladies. The teats keep collapsing and make LO winder. :(

I have used both Tommee Tippee CTN bottles, and Dr Browns. I am happy with both of them. The TT ones are easier to use, and are absolutely no problem to use, as long as your LO doesn't have colic. The teat collapsing thing only happens if the valve is stuck - you just need to squeeze it open gently (you usually have to do this with a brand new teat, but then rarely) and it's then fine.

Dr Browns are the best to help with colic, but they are a pain to clean/sterilise/assemble because there are lots of bits. They do tend to leak if the contents are hot - this can be improved a lot by loosening the lid, and turning the bottle upside down whilst at the same time tightening, and then shaking it upside down. Then always leave the lid a little loose anytime it's warm - apart from when using it for a feed of course!

For sterilisers, my main recommendation is to get a microwave one. They are easy to use and don't clutter your worktop as you can store it in/on the microwave when not in use. I have an Avent steriliser, which does the job well - however it is a bit annoying that the recesses for the bottles/teats are all the wrong size, so I'd also recommend getting the steriliser of the same brand as your bottles.
