What the law on a dog thats bitten?

we had to get a box around ours lol. Dog still barks though but least their hands are safe!

I never realised how lucky we were with Piper - when we arent around she just sleeps. Only wakes up when she hears the car/motor bike and never been bothered by post coming through the letter box.

Does bark at the postman when she sees him though - i think its the uniform though as it doesnt matter which postman it is.
