Hi everyone I know many of you chart using fertility friend...and I'm wondering how accurate in determining ovulation it's been for you? According to my chart I ovulated 5 days ago. BUT here is the weird thing I started getting obviously bigger & sore boobs a few days before that. The kinda boobs that make you think you are for sure prego! If that is the case then my ovulation chart would be wrong and I would have ovulated and implanted at least a week before that. Waiting to test...don't want to get a BFN. Here's my chart...what do you think? I think this...

May 22nd, sun: ovulation (dip and temp shot up)
May 31rst, tues: implantation (2nd big dip)
June 1rst, wed: first noticed bigger, darker nipples...the days following nipples got sore...then boobs got sore...
June 8th, wed: Obviously bigger boobs!!! My hubs totally confirmed it
Steadily inclined after that...higher and higher
Now temps consistently in the high range.

According to my chart though, I ovulated June 3rd...which doesn't really coinside (sp?) with my symptoms. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!! Thank you!

If you tend to have wildly fluctuating temps, I think BBT charting can be a lot harder. If I were you I'd really make sure to focus on charting your CM and CP. For many, but not all, BBT can show if ovulation has occurred, but BBT can't tell you when you're going to. I can tell I'm ovulation by checking my CM/CP. Like this cycle FF told me I O'd on the 26, but I know I O'd on the evening of the 25th (based on CM, CP, spotting, etc). Check out my chart (linked in my signature).

I can't really read BBT charts very well without CM/CP info, so I'm not going to be super helpful on this one. I really hope you get your this month! If not, I'd be interested in seeing what your chart looks like w/more info next cycle.

What do you look for in CM though as I read some women don't get EWCM at all? Also how do you check cervix position? What do I feel for? Sorry, I'm going to start temping next cycle and I want to be able to tell when I am OV'ing accuratley.

I think FF is pretty darn accurate. To me, it looks like you ovulated around CD36 because you had consistant temp rises after that. Before you never did. I noticed a spike every once in awhile and that can happen when it tries to ovulate. I would get a temp rise, but it would go right back down the next day and stay down. You can have sore boobs before ovulation because chances are your body tried to ovulate but failed. That happened to me the past two cycles. I had allll of the ovulation signs, the pains, tender breasts, kind of emotional, etc, but I didn't ovulate.

It's normal. Evening Primrose Oil helps with CM. Also your cervix is kind of like a ball. When it's hard it feels like the tip of your nose, and when it's soft it feels like your lip. With me, theres always a little dent in it. It's hard to tell when it's open or closed, but whenever it's harder to feel the dent (like when it faces towards the back), I consider it closed. Hope that makes sense. xx

Next cycle (If you don't get your BFP!) maybe try temping vaginally? It's supposed to be a lot more consistent. I'm switching to that if AF ever decides to show for me.
