What to expect from first fs appointment ?

Hi girls

Can anyone help with advice with what actuualt happens at the fs appointment ?
My doc hadn't really given us a lot of info since we first went down to see him
so just wandered what everyone elses process has been like ?

Hey hun,
Depends what tests you've had done so far.
For us, they talked through everything. How long we've been trying, smoking, drinking, how often we have sex, cycles, medical history etc etc.
She then sent us for S.A, hsg, pelvic exam, different bloods and said to book an appointment for 3 months time

Well I've had one lot of cd21 bloods - all fine
dh had his sa- fine
had pelvic scan which doc said I have polycystic ovaries
so now a bit concerned it may be worse ?
Been ttc 14 cycles, I'm 28 dh 34
have my fs app in 3 weeks so will just have to wait and see !
How are you getting on ?

Its really good that you've had a lot of the test! Where are you from? Do you know what you'd like to do next? (Clomid etc) I had a list of questions, so if you do, might be worth taking them with you

Yeah suppose that's good that we have had these tests, went down in June so not to bad though I feel it had been soooo long !

Not too sure really, guess I'd like further tests, hsg maybe just to confirm nothing else is wrong which is my main worry, not sure about clonus as funny thing is I have all the signs of ovulation, very reg, cm cd14 ish, ovulation pain cd12 ish so would they give me that ?

Ohh exciting, maybe af won't come ? Mine is due this weekend

Hi Ebony_Blaze,
our first FS appt was actually with the fertility nurse! She just went through usual details such as how long ttc, mc 's, medical history, lifestyle issues such as drinking, smoking, diet and made sure all bloods, swabs and SA s had been done for actual appt with FS.
We saw the FS 4wks later who just reviewed these details and discussed investigation options. I decided to go for the HSG and was booked in for this. Also had Trans Vag uss. Then was booked in for next appt in 4 months x x

thanks ! Oh right, so maybe as we have had bloods,sa,swabs and pelvic scan suppose that's good....there was me thinking my doc was dragging his heels and I was thinking why won't he refer us ??!!

I think I will feel better when I've had hsg etc

It's such a frustating process !
