I hope it's not insensitive as I'm not 100% sure yet that I'm having a miscarriage (ultrasound tomorrow morning to see what's up). I'm bleeding though - started as spotting and is now getting heavier, so I'm not being too hopeful. I was just wondering what to expect. I hear a lot about pain, and even worse about passing things, and I'm sort of afraid of wearing a pad cause I'm afraid to see IT, you know? Again, I'm so sorry if I'm being horrible. And my ticker is still up.... Hopefully you ladies understand where I'm coming from. :shy:

So sorry you have to go through this. Every woman has a different miscarriage experience so it's hard to say but in my personal experience it was pretty painful (it started off just like period cramps but escalated to labor like pains). However I refused pain meds (they offered valium) because I actually wanted to feel the pain and know when things were worse and when they were getting better. It took probably about 3 hours for the worst part (painful yes...unbearable no). I didn't pass anything that was recognizably a baby (I was very scared about that...some women do...somehow I didn't or if you are early on you probably won't)

Again everyone is different so my experience will not necessarily be like yours but I just wanted to say I'm sorry.

:hugs:

I too didn't pass anything recognisable. It went from crippling pain and heavy bleeding to light and back again several times. 6 days later I'm bleeding very lightly.

Good luck with your us. Sending lots of :hugs:

Just had my u/s and it's good news. Baby is still there, it's the right size and has a good heartbeat (126bpm). Bleeding is back to spotting for now, but I'm feeling more hopeful now. What a scare! Thanks everyone for your support yesterday. I suppose I'm not out of the woods yet, will have to keep having ultrasounds in the near future.

What wonderful news...while I love this part of the forum and the women here are both strong and supportive and a Godsend...I would not wish you to be part of it - no one should have to suffer a miscarriage...I wish you all the sticky baby dust in the world and a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Thank you so much! Sticky baby!!! lol, just learning BnB speak now :)

That's so awesome..Sticky baby dust to you :D

:flower:Sticky baby dust to you! Did they test your progesterone level or offer supplemental progesterone? Sometimes that can be behind the spotting and the supplements can stop the bleeding

no, they didn't test anything. I had to go to an outpatient facility to get the scan, so that's all they did. I have another appointment with my obgyn on the 30th. There is more spotting/bleeding tonight, but I'm trying not to freak. Also, it was an intravaginal scan so maybe the probe is causing some of today's bleed. Anyway, not much I can do now, just wait I guess. And try to stay positive. Silly baby, freaking mama out already. Sigh.

That's good news. Keeping everything crossed for you x
