What was your baby's HR at 16 weeks?

So I know that they say the heartbeat gender thing is not true but I'm just wondering, what was your baby's heartbeat around 16 weeks and what gender did it turn out to be if you've found out? I'm almost 16 weeks and my baby's heartbeat runs about 138-142. It seems kind of low so I'm thinking boy.

This baby has never been below 150, was always 165+ till around 14wks then started to slow down. It is a boy we are having.

Hwills41...so if heart rate really has anything to do with gender we would probably be having the same. Are you hoping for one or the other or do you not care? This is my first and for some reason I always thought I wanted a girl first but I really don't care either way.

Jo_Lou_pip...next time you go to the Dr ask them what the heart rate is. I know what mine is because I have a Doppler.

Here's what my little girl's was:

6 weeks: 117
10 weeks: 165
15 weeks: 156
16 weeks: 152 (I had a private scan to determine gender that week)

The doctor told me at my 15 week appointment that the HR slows a bit throughout the pregnancy and not to worry about the change unless it's very drastic.

I had my 16 week appointment late because i was on holiday, so just had it on tue at 18+4 and heartbeat was 140, midwife said that if it sounds like a horse its a boy and sounds like a train its a girl, then said 'sounds like a horse to me' and i was thinking the same, an my feleing always been a boy so will av to see if she was right.
