Even if they aren't using it in the context and are just babbling.

Isabella has recently learnt Dada :') quite ironic but to be honest I'm her mumma and Dada in one and she's around my dad every day so hears me calling him it :)
She also says baba and iiya occasionally hehe! X

When my son started saying dada it really upset me. Logically I know he didn't know what it meant but I was in the throes of PPD so it was awful.

My son started with baba and mama with any sort of a-a sound.

Levi's first was 'Bubba' and then 'Mama' :happydance: I havent noticed him say 'Dada' before (which I like, lol) but he may have said it and I just wasn't paying attention.
Whenever he cries he starts going 'Mamamamamama' hahahaha, so cute.

Jayden said Mama first :')

now at 17 months he can say so many words it's crazy <3

My sons first words were wierd .

First word was hi and he would say hi to anything plants people animals cars
Second word was ba for ball
Third was mama
Fourth was bumpa ( for grandpa)

He didnt say dada or anything like that until he was already almost 2. He didnt really see his dad enough to understand he was his dad

Well she deffo doesnt understand who her dad is lol.. but shes since moved away from dada mostly (although she will sometimes say it especially to my dad haha!) and says bab to everything and anything! Especially when you talk to her! Shes also saying mumma too :) x

Jacob kept saying dada at 6 months and my ex was convinced he was some sort of genius! (LOL)
I dont think LO liked the pressure through cause he didnt actually say his first word (in context) until 18 months and then didnt gain another until22 months :)

She started saying 'buba' while waving today so as in saying bubye! :') she's also said mama twice today once when she was crying and the other when she was crawling towards me :D xx

Scarlet's first word was mama (which I loved!) and her second was dada, then dog, the baba. :haha:
