What were your early labour signs with your first and subsequent babies?

Hey girls...I was wondering what your first signs were that things might be starting.... With my boys I didnt really notice anything....woke up with urgency to go to the loo....had a clear out and had a show....labour followed pretty much right after...this has been the case with all my babies. Somehow this little lady I think will be really different.

I'm not sure, as this is my first and I'm 39+2. But would be interesting to see replies about this x

No signs, just started straight out contracting 30 seconds every 2.5 - 3 minutes x

No signs with Seth, my waters just broke by complete suprise at 2am on my due date.

Think little lady will be very different!

My waters broke on my due date as well with my first born!! This pregnancy has been totally different though. I had a long talk with my son and told him about the boy who cried wolf. lol. I dont think I would believe I was even in labor at this point since I've had so many close calls He is keeping me on my toes though!

i was fine going 2 bed then woke up with stomach ache got 2 hospital and i was 3cm dialated he was born at 33 weeks
and the same with my daughter was fine then woke up in the middle of the night with contractions

Oh wow...Ive just come out of hossie yesterday for threatened preterm labour. I had awful period like pains going into my bum and lower legs. Coming every 15-20 mins. Was given steriods for her lungs. They tapered out by sunday but need to go back if I get them again or have a show ect. Im on edge all the time now and really restless. Didnt sleep well last night...felt really sick and must have gone for number 2 about 5 times during the evening and early hours of the morning....maybe a clear out? My stomach felt like it had done a million crunches after contractions on saterday. This is so different to my 4 boys. Never had anything like happen before.

he was a good weight for 33 weeks i think it was natures way of telling me i could never give birth 2 a big baby he weighed 5lb11oz he spent a couple of weeks on scbu just 2 establish feeding and needed a little help with his breathing x

Aww bless...glad it all turned out well. Our little lady is weighing in at 5.5 pounds so a good weight too...I think! Alot bigger than my boys were at 33 weeks gestation.

im having a growth scan tomorrow as mw and consultant think the baby is small

Why do they think baby is small? Are they going by fundel height measurements??? If so,I wouldnt worry too much sweetie. They scared the heck out of me and this little girly is def not small. Im still measuring behind with fundel height,but thats only because she is sooo low down into my pelvis...apparently engaged now...so its impossible for them to measure her correctly.... This could be the case with baby for you. Try not to worry...I know is hard,but I bet baby is fine and not small at all.

yes my fundal height is 4 weeks behind but i also had iugr ? when i was expecting my daughter there was no growth after 33 weeks she weighed 5lb at full term so they think i might have iugr again

With hindsight I know I had an attempt at a clear out the day before.....3 loo visits in the afternoon for a bowel movement.....and that would have been my first sign. After that it was when the contractions started the following day, everything happened very quickly for me so TBH I never saw it coming!
