Heya. I just posted something very similar to this. I have my first appointment to see a consultant on 1st august after gallstones were detected on my US. My pains first started when I was around 30 weeks pregnant and continued long after my DD was born. For me it starts like a sharp pain in the centre of my tummy and gets worse and spreads to my back and chest to the point where I find it difficult to breathe. The pain does not get better no matter what position I adopt and I get very sweaty. I often get D and V with it too. These attacks last anywhere from 30mins to about 3 hours with me.
From what I have read gallstones are not always detected on Ultra sound scans.
I am also really nervous about my appointment. arrrgg!!
