My stepdaughter lives with us and I had it on my list to get her an IPOD Touch. Her mom text me a few weeks ago wondering if we were going to get her one and I said if she wanted to that's one thing I could take off my list.

Well, Keeley hasn't seen her mom in 2 months because she's been pissing Keeley off. Her mom pays no child support and we have now made it clear that she is to come and pick her up and drop her off. OH did that for 12 years. You'd think if she wanted to see Keeley she'd jump and come and get her right?

She told Keeley the other night that until Dan drops her off that she won't be seeing her. WTF! What kind of mother is that who won't come and get her daughter?

So here's my question. Not sure if Keeley will see her mom at Christmas and her mom holds such a grudge that I can see her getting mad if Keeley doesn't come. Thus her giving away the IPOD to her other kids.

Should we still get her the IPOD? Worse case scenario, she does get one from her mom and she can return it for a camera or something.

Yeah I would say buy her one anyway and if her mum does get one as well, she can keep one and swap the other for something else

I don't understand how a mother could treat her child like that, it's very sad really xx

Thanks ladies. It was the one gift I wanted to get her as the other have new electronics. She wanted an armoire too so I didn't think I could afford an armoire and an IPOD but I got a bedroom suite at a great deal so can afford to buy her the IPOD.

And her mother.......GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! She's a bag!

I would get her it as well just in case her mother doesn't get her it or gives to her other children.
