On Wednesday I am taking my oldest daughter to see Matilda the musical, but the problem is that I have gone from a size sixteen/eighteen to a size twelve (UK) since Feb, so have nothing to wear. We will go for afternoon tea first, a spot of shopping and then the theatre in the evening so it needs to be suitable for all of that.

I will show my after pic, so you can an idea of my body shape. Also I still feel bigger in my head, like I will still buy a 16 and then it is massive on me, so bare in mind I have no body confidence.

So if it were you, what would you wear?

Also I feel my tummy is my problem area. Oh and I am 5ft 4, incase that helps :haha:

Are you going to buy new or use what you have in your wardrobe? I've just checked the weather on Wed and it says 21 so it's going to be hotish!

Personally I'd wear leggings and a nice dress, something that could be seen as both daytime and night time. I did a quick google and maybe something like this:

But perhaps something in a lighter colour to reflect that it's summer.

New because nothing fits now. That is lovely but high necklines don't suit me at all :(

something like this with leggings and a cardy?

I really like what Kala suggested. Plus because its elastictaed nder your boobs itll hide any belly worries you have (not that you should have any!) You could just have a lightweight cardy in your bag during the day if its hot.

I can't wear high neck lines either my boobs don't look right! I just found a few nice ones on the new look site but this page timed out while I was looking so I lost the links! The one below is lovely I think and quite summery. Everyone's personal taste is different though, you might hate it!!

I love both, thank you girls. Would say a darker colour for my tummy though?

I'm going to go with the Peach polka dot I think, its out of my comfort zone but says more summers day to me. Full length leggings?

I like full length leggings better because I don't like my legs, but most people go cropped in the summer. I love that polka dot dress! I think when you're doing something 'different' like going to the theatre, sometimes you feel confident even out of your comfort zone clothes wise, maybe because you don't just feel like the normal 'you' if that makes sense? So I reckon you'll feel really good wearing that. Have you got shoes? x

Personally I'd say full length leggings, but just because I hate cropped ones. It's a very summery dress. Plus because its elastic acted where it is your belly want show at all. I'm a size 22 and have a huge belly and even if I was to wear something like this regardless if colour it'd hide the belly to a degree!!

I just saw these in case you don't have a cardi to go with it. I'm not sure what you think about white? It an get dirt easily but these would go nicely.
