I just found out we'll be having another boy (this will be our last so there will be no other siblings in the picture ever). The boys will be 31months apart. My husband and I realized that we don't know anyone who has 2 boy kids, nor any friends who grew up one of 2 boys.. How crazy is that?? Anyhow, I'm wondering what it's like to have 2 boys. Tell me the good and the bad!!!

Hi I have two boys 5 and 7, and honestly it is brilliant. They play so lovely together and they genuinely miss each other when the other isn’t around. They wanted to be in the same room together as well so we got the bunk beds etc.

It’s not all rosey of course :D they are siblings so still have their little arguments but they are the bestest of friends so it’s not long before they make up. They’re also ‘proper boys’ as I call it haha, so they play fight with foam swords, play superhero’s etc and are very very active! I think you’re in for a lot of fun! Good luck with everything x

I dont have two boys just yet, but in a couple of weeks we'll have two boys 19months apart!

I only know one person who has two boys close in age and he says its the best, so FX for us! Haha.

I'm in the same boat! I will have 2 boys about 23 months apart. I've heard that they mostly play well together, hope that is true!

I have twin boys and I love it. They do squabble and sometimes can get so angry with each other but nothing abnormal. On the whole they are such friends and love sharing a room and chatting with each other before falling asleep. From what I know from friends with daughters, I think on the whole boys are easier than girls. Congratulations :)

I dont have 2 boys but I have 2 girls close in age, so I can comment on that.
Dd1 was born 5/2006, dd2 was born 12/2007. They have moments of sweet sisterly love and then they have moments they want to hurt each other. Being close in age made some things easy and some hard. Would dd learn to walk before dd2 came, they could share clothes/toys, etc.

Now I have dd3 and theres a large gap in age. Its interesting to see how dd1 feels about dd3 vs dd2. Yes, she was 1 vs 13 but in general she seems more interested in dd3.

I have three little boys 8,5 and 3 and it’s lovely. They are so sweet not going to lie it could get a little mad they like to fight and carry on. Battling each other as villain and superhero. But there is nothing more rewarding when you walk into a room and hear the sound of their laughs in unison whilst having their arm around each other or touching feet.

Such a nice bond < 3

Thanks everyone!!!

@Lissy_Sweetie Aw!! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Your boys sound so lovely!!

@missielibra and @AmberR Such an exciting time for all of us!!! I'm really looking forward to becoming a mom of 2 boys!!

@AngelUK I heard that boys are difficult in the beginning but get easier and easier and the opposite for girls!! I'm hoping that's true!!! :D

@OnErth&InHvn Wow!! Irish twins!! I grew up with a sister myself and LOVED it. We're NEVER had a fight ever in our lives (granted we are 5years apart so maybe that helped..)

@GlitterStar AWWWW!!! I literally teared up reading that. I cant wait to hear the boys giggling together <3 <3 <3

I have 2 boys however they are 5.5 years apart. And omg do they fight and are both full on from the moment they wake. However they are also very loving and sensitive. Completely different to my girls who will sit and draw for hours. Congratulations

I’ve got three boys So far...

Don’t know what bump is yet

My three boys are my world I love seeing them play tig in the garden together or lying on the floor with their feet touching whilst playing the switch.

It can be like WWE in here at times too but overall very rewarding < 3

You will love having two of the same sex they seem to bond better I feel. XxxX

OMG Please forgive me I have baby brain I’ve already commented on this post whoops!

I have a girl 8, and my boys are almost 6 years, and 7 months, im yet to see the little friendship develop as my youngest is still a baby, but so far, its so cute seeing them together

I know this thread is a couple months old but just wanted to chip in - we’ve got 2 boys, they’re 16 months apart. So far they’re still really little but they are finally starting to play together now that my younger son is mobile. It’s very cute, they entertain each other really well. And I think it’s true that their bond will come easier due to them being brothers. Chances are they will share a lot of the same interests :)

I have 2 girls one is 8 and one is a couple of months old and i always wondered what would it be like to have 2 boys. Having 2 baby girls is amazing. They have their moments. I enjoyed the jealousy phase when i brought little one home my elder one was all jealous and it was cute. lol Having 2 girls feels like heaven and i wonder what would it be like to have 2 boys.
