What's the difference??

Hi ladies,
Was hoping you could please answer me something, I started bleeding yesterday and then woke this morning with severe cramps and heavy bleeding as well, and hte bleeding has continued all day. I would have been 5 weeks today.
Went to the dr's tonight and I'm booked to go in for a scan tomorrow morning however the midwife has told me that if I begin to bleedy heavily throughout the night, that I'm to go to A&E as it could mean some sort of internal hemoriging (sp?).
So how do I know the difference between bleeding because I'm miscarrying or bleeding cause it's something more??

I'm not sure, but if its alot of blood (changing pads very frequently), go to the emergency room and let them figure it out. I imagine hemorraging would be alot more blood, like a constant flow of heavy bleeding. Hopefully they can clarify things better tomorrow other wise. Good luck.

My dr. told me (during my miscarriage).. that if I had to change pads every thirty minutes.. to go to the ER.. Im sorry you are going through this. Some will tell you every hour.. but mine told me every thirty minutes. Hope this helps you
