Finley is 2 months old & after every feed he is being sick for at least 3 hours after then we start it all over again with his next feed :-(
I feel like all he does is cry & I just dont know what to do  everyone else on here who's babies are the same age are talking about them smiling & laughing & I just feel like Finley hardly ever does  he has the odd smile now & again mainly in the morning. he used to smile loads but now he just grumbles & cries & its getting us both down
He brings up his wind fine just dont understand why he is being sick so much after EVERY feed.
Can anybody give me any advice please???? I just want my happy baby back  it breaks my heart seeing him like this x

hey hunni

Niall pukes loads...just one of those babies but there have been times when he has really stepped it up and I felt like I was drowing in it!!

I reckon its either wind or the milk itself. If you haven't changed the formula recently I would think it's more likely to be wind. Even if he seems to be bringing it up fine there's probably still loads more stuck down below. Recently my hubby looked after Niall for the day, when I came home he'd had 3 feeds without his gripe water and without being winded between oz's...it took 5 solid days of vomit non stop to start getting back to normal. Problem is if he gets a bit of wind stuck right down and then keeps feeding on top off it it's really difficult to get rid of!

We wind btw every oz, lay him across my knee and over my shoulder to wind after the feed. We also have a vibrating bouncer which he spends a couple of hours a day in which seems to help and then in the evening we have a belly rub...takes forever but defo helps him.

if finlay isn't himself either it kinda ties in that it might be traped wind...do what you can to try and ease the wind - if he's not himself in the nest few days maybe speak to your GP or HV the last thing you want is him developing colic if you've avoided it for so long.

Big hugs I'm sure he'll be smiling soon xxx

Is he distressed after his feed and/or during? It sounds like it could be reflux if he's really unhappy. I would take him to the doctor to see what they say as there are a lot of things you can do to help ease reflux.

Brady is a very sicky baby as well, especially the first couple of months, it's seems to have eased a lot the last couple of weeks which may just be because he is a bit older now.

After he's fed I try and keep him upright for at least half an hour, he also either sleeps on his side or on his back but with something underneath him to keep him elevated.

I tried the 'comfort' formula but that really didn't do much for him although it could help your LO. Gaviscon makes a lot of difference too, you put it in their feed which makes it thicker and eases the pain of the reflux.

I changed to Dr Browns bottles which made a massive difference to his wind and also the being sick as I think some of the problem was that he was just full of air. Brady is on the level 2 teats as well which prevent him taking in too much air and I do a few different exercises with him in the morning and early evening to get any wind up and ease tummy pain.

I would def see the doctor though as he doesn't sound too happy and it will help ease your mind hopefully too.

Thanks for the replies girls x
He has been a little bit happier this afternoon getting a few smiley moments but then after a while he's grumpy again :-(
I have tried the SMA stay down milk but didnt seem to work plus its so thick it keeps getting stuck in the teat & he's not getting any even though we have changed his teats to the next ones up.
After his last feed we had him sat up for ages after & the sickies didnt seem as bad but still there iykwim
I took him to the emergency doctor just before xmas (for something else) & didnt find them very helpful & my doctor is closed over the weekend so i'll see how he is monday & if he's still the same I'll give them a call & get him checked over x
Just feel so helpless  I should be able to comfort him & make him better but I cant

Thanks for all your advice x

Oh hun big :hugs: Like the girls already said maybe its reflux, or could he have a milk intolerance? My BIL had a milk intolerance when he was a baby and had to go onto Soya baby milk which was prescribed by the doctor. I hope you get it sorted and get a smiley Finley back very soon xxx

he sounds the exact same as my daughter and she has reflux. She is on gaviscon to stop her being sick (which helps loads) and omaprezole to try and cut down the acid in her tummy (is helping a bit). Check out this website www.littlerefluxers.co.uk and see if his 'symptoms' fit.
