I've been trying to settle my LO for the past 5 hrs! He can't sleep. We went through the daily routine but he cant settle! He's shouting at us! noy crying but shouting. He's a cute boy & he doesnt usually cry. But for the past 5 hrs he was just shouting! As soon as we put him in his cot, he shouts.. but when we carry him out he stops as it a switch is turned off. He's not hungry, as I tried to give him a bottle but he just pushed it with his tongue! I did everything, massage, singing talking, changing .. but he just want to either be held (which is not his nature) or stay out of his clothes.. He just fell asleep now..

I dont knw what's going on with him

Did you manage to get him off in the end??

He may have needed some gripe water just to settle his tummy, my LO sometimes needs it xxx

Maybe he just wanted some attention. My little girl is a month old and she likes attention for a couple hours 1st thing in the morning, so we play with her and talk with her. sometimes babies just want a cuddle. but sometimes they get used to being picked up all the time and get used to it. i wouldnt know how often you pick up your little one when he cries:shrug:

Or as the above poster said, he may have had a bellyache for whatever reason. Has he had a poo recently? Is he a windy baby? gripe water is excellent. My daughter is terribly windy and gripe water every now n then is brilliant at shifting stubborn wind.

It was just little constipation. He gets all the attention we could give :D he's a cute little thing. Today after he did a BIG poo, & passed lots of gases, he looked happy again :D Thnks ladies for ur replies
