What's your budget?

We normally try to do around £100-150 per child depending on what they ask for (they have too much stuff already!! lol). Family and other children probably around £25-30 each and then around £150 on each other. We always have a real tree so that's around £65 for a nice one and then the food shop which comes in around £150, again depending on what we fancy when we're in the supermarket!

I have a feeling this year we will spend slightly more on the kids as both me and DH have been saving separately for most of the year, also our oldest child will be 10 soon and her Xmas list seems to be getting more expensive each year. I've already heard her mention an iPod and a new bike so far!

We don't have a set budget but this year is going to be expensive as we're buying a new tree/decorations etc. Tegan just had a whole new load of toys for her birthday though so I don't think we're buying her toys. She needs a new tv for her playroom so I think that will be her main present!

Tasha - yes, but they need to be sent either through a charity (search shoeboxes for troops on fb) or directly to a named slider. You cAnt just bombard them with unnamed boxes anymore as it slows down the mail from families to actual soldiers.

I'm getting all of Liams platoon something, especially the ones who get nothing at all. I did it last time so I'll put more effort in this time :)

I've been putting money a side since April, we've got exactly £1200 saved so far. We like to go to loads of Christmas markets and take Ben on the Christmas train so this money will also pay fot those activities. I also save up my Tesco clubcard points for christmas so either i'll se those vouchers to pay for some of the shopping or put them against presents at tesco direct.

Not sure really about 400 per child and then extras like sabby said such as pjs, books and things abut christmas that are not presents.

Dont spend much on OH really, its more about the kids but we do get each other things x

Um food no idea, I do my food shopping in waitrose or m&s.

Going to try and do all my shopping for £500 this year - what with a wedding/moving house and starting trying to conceive, need to hold on to the pennies xxx

I do about £100 each on of my sprogs.
Everyone else gets what i find, and usually its between £5 and £10.

Ours is usually £600 excluding each other

Mum: £50
Stepdad: 50
Dad: 50
step mum: 50
step brother: 15
sister 1: 50
sister 2: 50
sister 3: 50
sister 4: 50
nan: 25
uncle: 20
step-neice (as its her 1st this year and my first neice): £10
nan and grandad: 30

thats roughly how we split it. If some things go a bit over then thats usually ok.

This year is totally cut back though as we will be going through the process of buying our house. lots of homemade presents and then just 1 main thing.

We have been buying as much as possible in sales for family.

Ella = £150 including stocking

We don't have a budget really for most people - as cheap as possible really but not so it looks like we are cheap!

OH's sisters we got some bath stuff 3 for 1 so they have two things each and my friend has the others. So for all three we have spent £8!

We have started on our parents and have no idea what we will get them yet!
