When did ur baby grow out of colic??

My lil baby girl is almost 4 months and still VERY colic!!! been to so many doctors everyone says she is fine just very colic, it's soooo HARD. I must cry so often because i get anxiety from how much she cries. when did your baby grow out of colic?? i just keep praying each month and still no luck.

Any advise on how to deal with a colic baby if you had one? anything that worked for you??

I really hope it happens at least around there, I can't bare it another month, but i feel like any longer and I'll go insane. I'm just so scared she'll be like this till 1 yr old.

Hugs and more hugs. My little one was colicky too. From about 7 pm till midnight or 1 every night. Non stop inconsolable crying. Nothing stopped it or eased it. At 2 weeks she started suffering with reflux and she cried non stop all day too!!! At 6 weeks I was loosing my mind and took her to a baby Chiro who treats colic. 3 treatments and her colic started tapering at 8 weeks and was gone by about 3 months. We did everything. Turned down the lights, no noise in the evening, bounced on a ball, and walked and walked and walked the halls singing to our screaming baby in our arms. We often put her in the car - it didn't stop the crying but we felt a little less useless. We tried gas drops ( made it worse) and homeopathic stuff ( this stuff have us some relief but only for a short time and only once we started seeing Chiro), I would sit in the bathroom with her with tap running - sometimes stopped crying for 2-3 mins - if it did, don't judge, but I'd have a glass of wine!!

It was a very very hard time. You have been in it longer than me I recognize. All I can say is hang in there, take care of yourself.

My LO got over it at 12 weeks. It went any quite suddenly, one day it was there and the next it was gone.

I found that putting a bit of pressure on her stomach helped. I wrapped my arms around her belly and rocked her back and forth and sang or talked to her. If it didn't work I give her a few ounces of camomile tea which seemed to help.

Around 8weeks but I was lucky. What really helped us (and I feel I bang on about it!) was Colief drops in his milk - he was like a different baby with them. Walking around the flat with his propped on my shoulder, rocking him and taking him out in the pram or car also really helped.

You'll get there. Just take deep breaths when you start feeling anxious and if you need to just put your baby down for 5 minutes and take a break. I needed to do this a few times and I admit that I was phoning my oh, mum and sister in tears frequently. I was diagnosed with PND and anxiety and given meds which have really helped both.

It will end, I promise!

Thomas has got colic and is on comfort milk and dentinox colic drops. A couple of weeks ago I ran out of colic drops so thought I'd try without and see what happened... He was really really colicky.. poor little man I went and bought some colic drops and after a couple of days he was really settled again.. He is 4 months. I will probably try him without the drops again in a month or so.

Just to add, I tried gripe water and infacol (not together) and neither of them worked. Someone recommended the dentinox colic drops and I found them to be brilliant. If you haven't given them a try then it might be worth doing so

Mine is just now growing out of it at 7 months. He had very bad colic as well---we're talking all day crying unless he was bfing. .. My advise---just do anything to get through it. Cry if you have to cry. It helped me to remember that he's crying for a reason and I just felt sorry for him. . .lots of cuddles. And sleep when he sleeps so you have the energy to handle the colic. It will pass--and when it finally does. . .you'll wonder how the time went so fast. Mine is still colicky at times, but much better than he was!

Around 7.5 months but a lot of it was reflux too. It was a horrible horrible time but it does pass eventually. Hang on in there!

Between about 3-4 months she grew out of it. We tried to take her off the infacol at 12 weeks but was too soon so eventually stopped it at about 17 weeks and she is fine now at 5 months.

Thank you ladies!!! I love hearing how many of you got through it, gives me so much hope. My baby is so colicy she cries all day long, it's not only a night thing like with most colicy babies. She is so cranky and an episode of really bad crying, SCREAMING can strike at any point of the day and I feel like I sit on nails waiting for it. Tried Colic Calm, gripe water, gas drops, tried different formulas...ahh so many things and nothing is really helping as much. At least I don't think it is. This is the toughest thing ever. At this point I feel so scared it won't end for a VERY VERY long time and I don't know how I will continue dealing it for more months to come. My hubby gets to leave to work and get away, I never get to leave. We will be 4 months on the 16th of this month & we are not better yet. She is better than what she used to be first 2 months, but still very very colicky. Every day I hope I'll wake up to a happy baby and it's just another day of all day crying. : (

Sounds exactly like my lo! That's how he was as well. He wasn't the calm baby who slept all of the time. . I actually can probably count on my hand how many times he was calm and sleeping. . .It's so hard. Hang in there. You'll get through--promise.
