Hey ladies, just curious to know when most people (on average) go into labour? As always I'm constantly hoping it'll happen any minute so thought I'd ask you to see when roughly it happened for you..?

Thanks
Laura x

I have said early morning based on that being when my waters broke. I was sat with DH having a cup of tea before he went to work, stood up at 7.20am and got a small gush. Turned out it was only my back waters that had gone, I started contracting at about 9.45am after an internal but ended up being induced as my contractions weren't doing anything and my back waters had been broke for 48hrs

my first i woke with contractions at 4am

second waters had gone but contractions started at 3am

third woke up with contractions at bang on 7am

M.y waters broke around 7.30pm so i've counted it from there but he wasn't born until 10.40am the next day

I voted early morning, but I thought it was just BH's and went to work as usual. Didn't think it might be the real deal until around lunch time. Stayed another 2 hours to finish up the last project I was working on, drove home, called the midwife, and then had my husband drive me to the hospital. The contractions really kicked into high gear soon after I got to the hospital and after that is when I got my show and waters broke. I thought for sure they were going to tell me it was just BH's and send me home.

I woke up, just before 8am on Monday morning (and luckily the first offical day of my DH's holiday from work).

I really needed to use the loo so I got out of bed , no easy feat at that stage, four days before my due date, and started to waddle across the room and my DH said "Your bump has really dropped down!" and I wanted to kill him.

For no reason, it just put me in a completely foul temper to have him speak to me.

Got to the toilet, sat down, something like an elastic band popped inside me and that was it, waters were broken, luckily while I was on the toilet and things were happening and by 8:30am we were in rush hour traffic with my DH practically having a fit in the drivers seat because he thought I'd have the baby in the car before we got to the hospital. :haha:

I wish. Eighteen hours later, at 2am on Tuesday morning, Joseph was finally born.

Both my previous were in the middle of the night with strong contractions, waters didnt break until baby came out!
