Morning all.

Unfortunately I am not part of this group yet but wanted to ask about your experiences please.

I am about 7 weeks that's all and a little nervous as 1 year next month, I had mc.

Now last time I had no nausea at all, just tired and dizzy, sore boobs, that's it. This time I have nausea, very slight dizziness, tired, slight weezing (I have asthma but it hasn't bothered me in ages and ages), very very tired and sore boobs.

I have just made some ginger biscuits as I was told this can help with the nausea (can't get any where we are!!!), but, and this may sound stupid, I think I want to feel the nausea even though I can't get anything done!! I read that nausea is a good thing as this shows that my hormones are raging. I think if the nausea stopped, I would panick thinking mc was on it's way.

Ok, sorry about the waffling, my question is this. Did you have the nausea feeling every day, every couple of days or just now and again? I think if I miss a day, the dread would set in.

One thing to mention is that my sister had no nausea at all, just tiredness and dizzy, but she never had a mc and she is younger than me. I guess that plays on my mind too (I'm 38 this year).

Any info, advice you can give would be so appreciated I can't tell you :)

Think it varies a lot from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy. One of my sisters had no nausea and vomiting through any of her pregnancies, whereas I had varying degrees of all day n&v with first 3 pregnancies and with this one evening nausea only. Wishing you good luck with your pregnancy:hugs:

Thanks. Any bit of info is great.

I am thankful every one is different. Kinds gives you hope that all is gonna be ok.

So far, I tend to get nausea in the evenings, maybe a little around lunch time, I put this down to hunger but then I get to where the food is and nothing jumps out and says eat me, it all smells gross!! Felt a little off this morning but still managed to get some cereal down my throat.

I was feeling sick every day from aorund week 6 to week 10. some days more sick than others. Never actually vomitted. Only about twice could i not eat.
It wasnt all day - mostly in the afternoons and evenings. Sometimes I would havea day when I felt much better than others though.

I thought I felt better around week 10 but then it came back. Since week 12 I've been pretty much Ok which has been great!

Thanks tinytoes. I'm not doing too bad today. I am getting a littel hungry and when I start thinking about what to eat, it puts me off. At least that's a good sign, I'm still feeling nauseaus. This is the only time I'm happy to feel sick!!!

try just toast. i always could eat toast with butter. or if you only fancy bsicuits then just eat biscuits! Anything is better than nothing.
But do expect to feel better some days. It's normal.
good luck!!

I was sick almost every morning, night, Vomiting almost every now and then until week 15/16, but now i have nausea just now and then. It was almost everyday i would vomit, and it was horrible, ginger biscuits wouldnt work either, i would avoid eating sometimes and just be on bed. It was awful, but i believe it would be well worth it at the end of the day... Hope you feel better soon. xxx

It really does vary from woman to woman. Personally from week 5 1/2 to week 9 I had nausea all day every day. It was awful. Soda crackers and 7 up are the only things that allowed me to eat meals most days. After about week 9 the nausea got better, I'd only get it a few times a week and by week 11 it was gone completely. The problem with pregnancy symptoms is that they vary so much from person to person and they can disappear and reappear at any time! So frustrating for us. Try not to worry if you miss a day or if the nausea stops completely, hard I know but the stress you'll experience can't be good for the baby. Good luck, hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

Pregnancies are definitely different for each woman. I was lucky and never had any morning sickness at all throughout any of my pregnancies. I have now been pregnant 4 times, the first one ending in miscarriage. Also, each pregnancy for a woman can be different too. So far though, they have all felt the same to me with the same symptoms.

On another forum that I visit, two people mentioned that ginger (ginger snaps, ginger ale) helped them during their morning sickness.

Before 6 weeks I'd maybe have 2 or 3 days a week feeling mildly queasy.

From about 6 weeks onwards I had it just about every day. It would start around lunch time and be really bad by the evening so I could hardly move without wanting to be sick. Then it went at about 9 or 10 weeks. I had the odd day of feeling a little queasy but not even once a week. By 12 weeks it must have gone totally.

I still have the odd day where I feel sick but I don't know if thats morning sickness. It happens maybe once a month or less.

Hey I feel sick pretty much everyday and night. But it depends on you as an individual, everybody is different and everybody experiences different symptoms. I,m jealous of those gals who go through the whole of their pregnancy without sickness!!! It's just one of those things.
Try not to worry though
Xxx

For me, once I started getting nauseous, it was pretty much all day every day. I would have an hour or two that was nausea free. Then as time progressed I would get nauseous later and later in the day. Then every other day, and so on till it was gone.

I felt sick almost all the time from week 6 to week 10. From then on I've felt normal most of the time and like death microwaved for a couple of hours a day :)

First off, congrats! And I agree it really varies. It is a good sign you are nauseous- the hormones are raging. But the reason you are nauseous is your tummy isn't used to these hormones and is reacting. But as tummy gets used to them, it should start to subside. *Try* not to panic something is wrong. Though I did worry when mine started to improve- thinking maybe something was wrong. Though my boobs still hurt, so that reassured me.

Anyway- your question. My first pg I was vomiting 3-4 times a day, any time of the day. Though it was worse in morning and night. And between vomiting episodes, I felt okay. This time around, I feel nausous almost all day long, but never have vomitted. It seems to be influenced a little by whether or not I get enough sleep.

As for things to make it better, I've heard of the ginger, dry toast, crackers, lemon, and any citrus in general. For me, even though I read you are supposed to avoid this for ms, greasy food is the ONLY thing that would work. Hashbrowns from Mc'Donalds:happydance: In talking to a ton of people, my own observation is what food makes you feel better when you have a hangover will work with ms. Just an idea.

Here's to feeling better AND having your little bean stick:thumbup:

I had all day every day sickness from about 5 weeks to about 14 weeks.

With my first, I had minor morning only sickness for about a month. (6 weeks to 10 weeks or so).

Every pregnancy is different, as is every woman.

The things that I thought helped were:

LOTS AND LOTS of water... dehydration made my MS much worse. Drink all the time... have a gallon or more of water a day... I'm not kidding.

Many small meals. one or two bites of very bland food - (In case it had to come up again).

Funny enough, BDing helped me (TMI:blush:)... I don't know if it was a "I feel loved" thing or there were hormones that helped... :: shrug ::

Sleeping it out helped a lot too. I was tired anyway!

:hugs:

I felt sick every day pretty much.. got so used to feeling sick, that when I didn't it didn't feel "normal" anymore. Also got very dizzy a lot.

Its my first pregnancy and I was NEVER sick..and I probably wont be so lucky next time...

To the girls who haven't been sick, lucky you! From about 5 weeks on I was sick every single day and night. I dreaded getting out of bed each morning, and usually just dragged myself to a chair in the living room, and fell back to sleep there. My doctor diagnosed me with HG and I have been on Zofran ever since. It helps, but even now at 32+3 I get sick.

I remember once at like 8 weeks, for ONE day, I didn't feel sick, and I got so worried that something could have happened to LO. Everything has been fine tho. I hope for you it will get better, and i might recommend a doppler to give you peace of mind when you can hear the heartbeat. =)
