when did you start putting your baby in a shopping trolley?

Well not actually in it ha, in the seat bit? Ive just realised that izzy could probably go in one now, she can sit unaided for long periods of time...ive always just put her carseat in the trolley. So what age/weight is ok? Shes just over 7 months and 21 lbs

We only recently started doing this. Only done it twice though. Think I first put him in around 11.5 months x

Lol I just wrote a thread about this. Anyways on the cart it usually puts an age minimum in the seat. Most ones I've seen in Australia say at least 6 months and can sit unsupported. Max weight is 18 kg. Costco ones said at least 5 kgs. If your LO can sit unaided it should be fine. Your LO at 7 months weighs more than my 10 month old.

About 7 months, once he could sit really well unaided, they do have little lap belts on them though. He loves being in the trolley now!

About eight months, she could sit from 6 but the ones at my supermarket only have flimsy straps and she kept falling sideways x

Last week ... She's a tiny thing though - I put her in the plastic bucket seat at about 7 months, then the old skool wire seat at the front of the trolley just now - she still wobbled around a bit but was happy enough xx

Around 7 months. Helped hsving two as there idnt as much room and they stopped each other from falling sideways. They love being in the trolley!

I did at 8 months coz he will no longer fit in the capsule lay own ones. Actually hadn't put him in it for ages I just left him home with hubby so I could shop in piece. But I put a blanket beside him for comfort and on the metal bar in front.

Alice went in around 5 1/2 months but she sat up unsupported from 4 months. She loves going in the trolley, we treat it as a fun time for her.

Hun, there is no way they could prove herpes from a shopping cart! It is almost impossible to get herpes without direct contact, it does not survive on objects like that. So much more likely from human to human contact.

That being said, I've never been afraid of a little germ exposure and my children have all been perfectly healthy, and they go in the shopping cart seat as soon as they can sit up well.

Around 7 months. We have one of those buggy covers and she loves it. It lets her be nosier than when she was in her stroller.

I usually give the bars a quick wipe down as Alice chews them! So far she's not caught anything, not even a cold.

If she didn't eat them I wouldn't bother wiping as I think exposure to germs is a good thing.

Yeah Isabelle will most likely eat the bars haha, we took her to a restaurant yesterday and she sat gnawing the edge of the table. I will try her today when I go to asda
