I don't have an upstairs or a monitor, but do it whenever you feel comfortable.

upstairs for naps? or upstairs for the night in his room? for naps I think he was about a month, maybe earlier. for the night in his room two weeks ago. Made no difference in his sleep alas but I feel like if he is in a quiet room, the quality of sleep is much better.

We put LO up alone for the first stretch of sleep at night from 1 month (he shared our room then so wasn't alone after 11), he napped upstairs from about 3 months and alone all night from 5 months. It's really up to you and when you feel ready. Personally I needed some time by myself and with oh and it kept me sane, I know others don't like it so early. My LO also sleeps far better alone in a peaceful room xx

I can't remember when we first started putting LO upstairs with the monitor... I think it was around 10 weeks. He started sleeping through as soon as we started doing this so me and OH must of been disturbing him. I am constantly up and down the stairs checking he is okay though

ETA he still shares a room with me and OH though. I don't think I'd of been comfortable putting him in his own room at such a young age.

About 10wks I think, but only for half hour before I would go to bed and it was and still is in our room, It was to get me used to it more than him! in the day he naps on our snuggle sofa. I hate having him in a different room to us so keep him downstairs where I can see him x

From the day we got her home, but she was already 11weeks (1week adjusted ) by then, but she was only on her own for about half an hour before one of us went to bed. She still naps downstairs. Her new thing is to sleep on the floor on a cushion. She's a strange one

Darcy is 7 weeks coming up on Wednesday.. We usually have her in the Moses basket down stairs with us until we goto bed.. She naps downstairs on me but will sometimes go in Moses for bout 20-30 mins..

My little boy is 5 months,and I still used travel cot in the living room for both naps and sleeping in the evening until we go to bed. I tell myself it's because I haven't gotten. Round to getting a second monitor yet,but think I just not ready yet. my daughter was upstairs long before now! Not sure why I feel differently this time!

Around 3 months for sleep at night, but I often go to bed not long after. For daytime naps she sleeps downstairs (she's 4 months).

6 weeks......she stays with us until 10pm then goes into her cot in her own room! She sleeps so much better in there, waking only once at night for a feed, I think Daddys snoring was waking her up! She comes into bed with me from about 7am til I get up at 9am!

Lily slept down here with me in a napper till almost 7 months old. I carried her up when we went to bed. I still used a monitor (audio) to go out and water my garden etc in the summer. One month ago, at 9 months old, we bought a video monitor and she went into her own room/crib.
