I've been dreamfeeding Jay at 10pm since he was about a month old and it has helped him sleep through to between 7 - 8am (apart from needing the dummy popped in a few times through the night).

I decided on Friday to give him his last feed at 7pm before bed as he is now having 5 big feeds throughout the day (3 of them are formula) and two small meals and see what happened. The first two nights he woke for a feed at 6ish and last night at 4:45 :dohh: What a horrible reminder of his newborn nights  Needless to say I'm going to carry on dreamfeeding him for a while longer

I was just wondering when everyone else stopped dreamfeeding their LO and any tips on getting them to sleep through without it??

xx

I think Dec was about 6-7 months when I stopped dream feeding, I could have stopped a lot earlier but it was sort of a comfort thing for me !!!!! holding my little baby (which didnt happen a lot during the day) giving him cuddles and kisses (without being pushed away) then laying him back down. I loved it, wish I could still do it. If LO is sleeping through without the dream feed then he must not need it xx

I'm still doing it. I tried to stop this past week, but with her waking at 11:30 one night and 2 the other night, I decided to keep going.

I tried the other night but she woke at 1, then 5 so I started again the following night! She still tends to wake once in the night but I think, without the dreamfeed, it would be twice. It's no real hardship, I qiute enjoy it really!

Hayden wasn't able to sleep through the night until 15mo...I started night weaning at 14mo due to a horrible case of thrush we both kept passing back and forth so I needed that time to heal from the day. It took right at a month to get him to be able to be ok without that night feeding though...some babies just need it longer. Hopefully it doesn't takeso long for you though lol
