when did your LO's start STTN?

6 months...but has stopped many, many times due to teething, new mileatones, being sick, starting daycare...

His sleep has been the worst ever the past few weeks..he's 13 months..I thought it was due to starting daycare....he got conjunctivitis last night and he had a cold, so I took him to the doctor today...turns out he has a bad double ear infection too:( no wonder he hasn't been sleeping well!

I believe 100% that all babies will STTN in their own time when THEY are ready. Although it's hard work waking up god knows how many times a night, I'm confident that this will pass. It seems like a long time but it's a drop in the ocean really. Bad sleep sucks but we'll get through it!

I tell myself this at 2 in the morning (and again at 3, and again at 4 :haha:)

I can't wait til he's been out clubbing all night and for me to hoover under his bed at 6am :happydance:

This. This is what I wait for.

Babies are demons from hell sent here to slowly suck out our souls through sleep deprivation...
Well, it certainly seems that way at least. :haha:
If you go by the 5 hour 'rule' than my 1st started STTN at 2, not 2.5 and Samuel started STTN at about 6 weeks, but considering he sleeps that 5 hours before I even go to bed and then is up every 2 hours for the rest of the night, it sure doesn't seem like STTN to me.
They all STTN when they are ready and for some of us that means years of torture ;)
but I've always known it'll happen eventually and in the meantime I'll provide for my babies, even in the wee hours when I'd rather be sleeping. :flower:

Oh we'll get our own back alright!! ;)

25 days old and I was gutted at the time. We stayed overnight with friends in there caravan on there holiday and the only space his travel cot would fit was in the front room where my.friend was sleeping. He woke up once that night and from then on sttn.

He still does now...in fact he sleeps that heavily I get worried sometimes!

At 7 weeks, he was sleeping 8/9pm till 5am, having a quick feed and back down till 9.30am. At 9 weeks, he was sleeping from 8/9pm till 7.30am so I count this as when he started properly STTN. He now does 6/6.30pm till 8am. We've not had any regressions yet.

From birth though, he was only waking once in the night. Even at a couple of weeks old, he would feed about 11pm, then 3am and wake around 7/8am.

10 months. Though she's back to waking once a night now. At least I know she's capable, I guess!

Isla is 5.5 months and she's still waking every 2-3 hours consistently and has never STTN or longer than 4 hours consecutive but for the past 2 weeks she's been up wanting to play hourly then up for the day anywhere between 5 and 6.30am

The days are loooooong! I'm in the wait it out camp for now

We bed share too x

3 months old (corrected age 2) By through the night I mean she slept 6 1/2 hours in one shot, and it's grown longer since. She does 8 or 9 now, then wakes for 2 feeds with an additional hour or two between. About 12 hours total, figure includes 2 20min feed/rock to sleeps.

I've decided that when my son's a teenager and won't get out of bed I'm going to stand outside his room and cry. Then I'm going to vomit on him. Payback :haha:

 Ooh the vomitting on him will really do the trick!

Well after all my moaning about him he slept for 5 and half hour straight last night! Longest ever. Was so excited I couldn't sleep... Doh!

Consistently since about 2 weeks ago :) But from 8 months she was going down at 6.30 and it was hit and miss if she would wake before 6am...

Now unless she is sick she sleeps through (touching every piece of wood I can see). BUT from 6 months she only fed at 10.30 and 2.30am - so if I went to bed at 10.45 it was only one waking a night which was ok! xx

She slept through the night from 3-4 months, then we had the regression which lasted til about 6ish months. Now on a good night she'll sleep from 7pm - 6am. But often she wakes up at 4am and needs resettling, or just refuses to go back to sleep. Unless she's teething, in which case nights are a nightmare.

within the first week home from the hospital. she sleeps in the bed with us so I wake up when she grunts/flails for food before shes actually awake. during the first monthish she was still pooping in the night so sometimes I would wake her up for a few minutes during a diaper change then shed be right back to sleep. she had a late bedtime at first (around 10-11pm, sometimes midnite) now shes usually fully asleep by 6-7 pm. sometimes its been 4:30-5 pm if we had a huge day of being out. she wakes up anywhere between 5-8 am. if its an earlier up she'll play for a bit on the playmat then go back to sleep for an hourish.

ETA: she did have one night of being up every hour because the inlaws messed with her bedtime:growlmad:......:haha:
