As the title says really, weather is cooling off and I just realised he's grown out of all his 18 month-2 year vests. I'm assuming the next size up are just vests without poppers underneath? When did you stop using them? Thanks :flower:

My DD is 2.5. She was toilet trained last month so vests with poppers would be a pain now. I plan on getting her some vests without poppers or sleeves. She's not very good at admitting she's cold and/or wearing her cardi so I think she'll still need vests this year.

We stopped using vests with poppers at 2.5 yrs when he outgrew the ones we had & he started to use the toilet. He wears normal sleeveless vests. I never thought we should stop using those? Vests are underwear

With my son I stopped when we potty trained, so at 2.5.

I stopped using vests with my daughter about 3 months ago now. The weather has been so warm that they just aren't needed.

Maybe in winter I will get them some vests without poppers but I doubt it. They tend to ride up all the time and my house is some warm they get too hot.

They do do vests in 2-3. ;-)

The boys had big boy vest last winter so just short of three - one was still in nappies then too. X

mine never really have?! they wear t shirts lots,so if chilly under tops/jumpers x

My little boys 3 tomorrow he stopped wearing them about a month ago

tom started wearing normal vests around 2ish I think.

I've got size 3-4 ones ready for this winter cos he feels the cold.

think i have hot babies  they never seem to feel the cold...

We stopped using popper vests at 2 years and just went to normal vests, he hasnt worn a vest all summer though but will prob go back into them when winter comes xx

Depends on the weather, she's not wore them over summer but will be again now it's getting colder. Il just get ones with out poppers

He hasn't had any on since the weather got warm but I'll go back to them soon I think. I'm sure kids wear them until 6/7 but I don't know and I guess it depends on the weather were you live etc.

23 months, when Sophie was born. OH hated them and he was caring for Thomas when I was in the hospital, and sorta 'weaned' us off using them lol. I've always loved things that popper over nappies, as it looks tidy when their t-shirts rise up.

Thomas still has some long sleeved tops that popper between his legs, but hardly wears them. He doesn't like them.

As for non-popper kinds, we call those singlets and he has 3 white ones he wears most days.

I got Maria some normal ones (without the poppers) to wear this winter. Don't know when we'll stop.

Both of mine stopped wearing them when they grew out if the last size. For my son this was around 18months and he grew out of 2-3 age.
Esther was wearing the age 2-3 last winter. I'm assuming that she won't fit into them this winter.

Both will now wear regular vests over the winter.

 I'm a terrible mummy :dohh:

I was thinking this year he could have vests under his Jammies and just a jumper over his tops  maybe I should buy vests!

I find it hard as I'm a hot person so go off what hubby thinks which would be.... Nappy, boxers ( great if nappy leaks saves changing outfit!), vest, t shirt, trousers, jumper, hat, scarf, coat, mittens, boots, hmmm maybe a snow suit then put the heati g on :haha: hubby feels the cold!

I kept him in them as long as I could. When it began to get warm last year, so round about June here, he wasn't wearing them just t shirts. He started using the potty a month later (2 years 4 months) so that was that, no more fastening vests. I found the winter difficult until I bought the size above the one he should wear so that if was long enough to tuck well in.

I honestly can't remember when we stopped using popper vests probably around 2. He'll wear a normal vest until he is old enough to tell me he doesn't need one anymore!

Like wise, he'll wear a vest until I stop choosing his clothes for him and checking that he's tucked in.

We stopped using popper vests when she outgrew 18-24month ones and swiched to normal vests last winter. My 2 younger stepkids (8 and 10) still wear vests in winter.
