my lo seems to have no fear of danger. she still at nearly a year will dive of the sofa head first, or attempt to do something really stupid when not being watched. Im sure my nephew when at the same age could sit on the sofa with his milk without being watched. I cant even move to answer the phone

haha.
never. 6yrs old and getting worse. forward rolls off the sofa now...

This made me laugh because my (almost) 9-month-old is the same. He'll just try to leap out of our arms after the cat with no thought that they could fall. In fact, he's getting good at standing while holding onto things like the sofa and tables, but forgets he doesn't yet know how to walk...yet he tries to let go and take off anyway.

I told DH we should change his middle name to "No Fear!"

Haha!! Sam is like that with the settee, he thinks it's his own personal climbing frame! We have however managed to teach him how to get safely off the bed (ours is quite low though so it's not too hard) by turning him round whilst saying "turn around and shuffle" and guiding him off the bed, and now he just does it!! He is starting to do it with the settee but it is higher so I can't leave him to go mad as if he falls off the arm it's a long way down!! hehe. I think when he's a bit bigger it won't seem like such a distance to fall so if he does it will probably shock him but not hurt him, and then he'll start to learn!!

Ha Ha. Have you seen that wild look they get in their eye's when they spot the edge of the bed ? Like "let me at it "

Not for a very long time yet, I was still diving under my nepew to catch him at 5.
I was also still walking away and letting my cousin get on with it at 35 :)
If my 65 year old father could manage it with his back hed still be at it to ammuse the kids :)

Lol.

Skye fell of the sofa and bed a few times .. and then one day she turned herself around and lowered herself off and now she does that to get off.

But .. that doesnt work when shes hangin of the side reaching at the radiator grabs the top of it and then falls face first onto the wooden floor.

loooooooool. I guess I have a smart baby. He goes head first, before diving he touches 1st, but when he finds nothing, he turns & goes down, legs 1st :happydance:. The same with our bed. The blessing of having a cautious baby. But he still thinks he can walk without holding furniture. U can never have a full package :haha:
