When do you get ultrasounds?

I had an ultrasound at six weeks due to pain and spotting...now my doctor says I won't have another one till 18-20 weeks! Doesn't that seem so far away? I see lots off ppl on here have 12 week scans! I can't imagine waiting that long!

If you are getting genetic testing then you get a 12w scan as part of the testing. If not they just do the 20w one!
The other scans really aren't necessary in a healthy pregnancy.
