Hi,
My DD is 13 months old and she loves her bottle when ever she gets it. She eats solid foods just fine. I also use the bottle to settle her down at night for bedtime. I usually only give one or two bottles in a 24 hour period but if I am out a whole day I tend to give her a bottle in the middle of the day because it is much easier sometimes especially if I am on the subway or bus. I have heard after one they shouldn't have a bottle period but then they recommend breastfeeding until the age of two and some do it even longer. We also go on quite a lot of long flights and bottles really help with her ears. Is it that bad to plan on giving bottles until the age of two?
