When does the heart start beating?

Hi there!

Had an ultrasound today.... still not sure on my dates.

Baby is squished up in the top right corner of the sac and we couldn't get accurate measurements.

Yolk sac was sticking out in the open area of the sac

We did see a heartbeat!

I am just wondering when the heart starts beating...I have heard 6 weeks but just want to be sure. I think I am about 6w1d.

I do have another u/s next week

It can start as early as in the 5th week, although lots of women don't see it until the 6th week. Congratulations!!
