Hi everyone

I had a cancelled IVF cycle last month (took all the meds but only 1 follicle so didn't go ahead).

I was told to go home and bd to try to catch this follicle by the nurse. Did so - only to be told later that I wouldn't have ovualted anyway as I would not get an LH surge due to the meds.

I started spotting bang on time on Sun. Since then I have had some red blood but much lighter than usual. Nurse told me to test in case I was pregnant (even though the other nurse thinks I would not have ovulated). Anyway tested today -BFN.

I need to start new meds on cd1 - I have been told to wait for bright red flow - think I do have this but very lightly when I am usually very heavy. Is very light flow good enough to start counting day 1? Very confused and clinic not very helpful!!!!

Would love to hear what you all think xxxxxx

No kidding they aren't helpful! Sounds like they are making it more confusing. I would try and call back and explain to them tho, you're paying the big bubks and you don't wanna mess up your cycle because you get different answers from whoever answers the phone that particular time. In my experience the nurses always told me to start counting CD as my first day of FULL flow. Not just when you notice a bit of bleeding or spotting. Hope that helps :)

Thanks hun. Just spotting last night and today - lightr than before. I was thinking it was just the hormones messing me up but now the nurse has put possibility of being pregnant in my mind I have this unrealistic feeling of 'what if?' - even though I got BFN yesterday!!! Can't find out online what happends to your follicles/eggs if a cycle is cancelled. Some say you will ovulate and others say you won't. Argh!!
