I joined this side after 10 months, but more for the AC side of things as I have PCOS and don't exactly ovulate. Ever. So I think as soon as you think you need some medical intervention or you have gone beyond what you have considered "normal" then hop on over here. Everyone's really nice and they won't throw you out for not having struggled enough!
I've been wondering this as well. I've now been ttc for 11 months but have only recently started to pop over this side of the fence. I've also been having a few difficulties (have issues with progesterone) but feel a bit of a fraudster for posting on here. So I too would defo be interested to see what the girls do think.
Some of the girls here have not been trying for that long but because they know they have some fertility issues so they may feel more comfortable here. How long have u been trying for marie?
I was wondering this too . . . we've been trying for over a year but since we haven't had treatment or been to the doctors (OH has but got told we need to book a double appt) I tend to get lost in all the abbreviations
I was thinking of coming over here....
It has only been 7 months but I have had 2 ectopics, 1 chemical (could have been ectopic) and have low progesterone/luteal phase defect. Have had some investigations done and am about to start a whole lot more....
I know 3 pregnancies in 7 months is jolly good going...but it means nothing when they aren't sticking/in the right place.
The doctors are now thinking IVF/ICSI is the way forward for me to try reduce the now 30-50% risk of another ectopic.
I know many of you ladies have been trying far longer/have far worse problems but I find that I am struggling not to depress the TTC newbies that think babymaking is easy!
I was also wondering how long is long - we've been trying since Jan 2009 so 14 months. I like telling myself that the first few months didn't count as we didn't really know what we were doing and were so sure it would all just happen
We're waiting (4 months and counting) for an appointment to an NHS fertility clinic but it's taking forever. DH has also just done his second sperm sample but haven't had the results yet and we've been doing everything right - just no baby yet. Tonight is the first time I've looked at the LLTTC forum so nice to see others are feeling the same.
