It’s been 6 weeks since my little one has been born. I had a 4th degree tear and I shower daily. However, I do have a summer eves body wash made for down there and I’m wanting to know when it’s okay for me to use it? I’ve only been using the squirt bottle the hospital gave me but I’m stating to feel really gross down there.

Hey, as a general rule you should never wash your vagina or vulva with soaps or body washes (even ones that say they are designed for use there). Your vagina has a delicate natural balance of PH and healthy bacteria, and washing with anything other than warm water can disrupt this leading to bacterial vaginosis or yeast infections. It’s also just generally unnecessary - the vagina is naturally self-regulating and washing your vulva and perineum with warm water is 100% enough to keep clean and hygienic. Hope this helps!
