As the title says ladies!

George is 2 weeks old today and I am breastfeeding him. I wanted to start building up a supply in my freezer and wanted to know when the best time to pump would be so that it doesn't interfere with the amount of milk which he needs directly from me.

Should I pump straight after feeding him so that my supply has chance to build up again? At each feeding he goes on each breast once. I then start with the breast I finished on at the next feeding.

What do you ladies do?

i pump right after feeding, or during her longest sleep stretch. She goes down at 7:30 pm for bed, and usually sleeps until sometime between 12:30-2:30, so I pump around 9pm before I go to bed. If your baby has unpredictable sleep, I'd just pump right after feeding. you'll get the most milk in the morning.
