When to have a baby shower

So according to my OH he already has party for him and his guy friends planned as a baby-dad shower. apperently im behind on planning according to him. Im only 25/26 weeks so i thought i had tons of time.
Altho i do give him props for his idea. Hes getting each his friends to buy a pack of diapers at a different size so we have lots of diapers stocked up. I told him thats awesome and of course hed enjoy it cause he plans on never changing a diaper

any ideas of what to do at a shower
and when did you or when will you have your shower?
Who did you all invite? realtives? friends? guys or girl or both?

I had mine last week. I wish I had done it around 32 weeks It was awesome though. There's some amazing game ideas on the net. I invited friends and family, although my friend organised it all for me.

I am having mine on saturday and I will be 34 weeks,most are girls and a few gay friends no guys since my OH is gonna work that day but I am pretty sure his friends are gonna show up when he comes home, there are lots of games on the web.

i was thinking between 30-35 weeks as im working up till september and i dont wanna be too tired for it, im gonna invite some friends, my OH will be there with a few of his friends, some family and a few friends from work, i have no idea what to do for it though so my friend from work is gonna help me arrange mine as she arranged her daughters x

I've had 3 baby showers. My first one my OH's cousins wife's mom did it for me and that was my OH's friends and a few people. My next one is for my OH's family on June 30th, it's all his family but in having a few friends come and my mom and sister. My side of the family which my mom is throwing for me will be next month, but OH's mom and step dad will be there. Just out of respect for them I invited them u know? I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow but i didn't want to wait til the last minute so then I have a few weeks to get whatever I didn't get from my baby showers.

I had mine at 32 weeks! We chose 4 baby games to play, it was all duck themed and I invited all girls They were family and friends! I had a blast, and got almost everything I needed! If you want I can post pictures of it for you!

I had mine on Sunday so I was exactly 35w We did a game where all the guests bought a baby picture if themselves and you had to guess who was who. The winner won a prize I had everybody there, even my OH but when it came to opening the presents, us ladies went into the other room because the football was on haha.

i'm having a do after he's born, it's my 18th saturday so my mom's doing a late birthday/welcome baby party so everyone can come and see him =)
it'll probably just be close friends + family who come

There were about 15 or 20 girls at my party, it was fun and a good amount - so I'd say invite that many too

I had mine yesterday , so much fun.! i'm 33 weeks & invited my family & boyfriends family of course , then mostly girls & a couple of my boyfriends friends for him

I had a baby shower with my first son when I was about 30 weeks. If I were to have one this pregnancy I would have done it around 30-34 weeks just because its all closer to the LO being here and its more exciting

I had mine at 34 weeks pregnant. You can have whatever time you want though. Maybe it'd be a good idea to merge your baby shower with your OH's pre-dad shower that way the more people turn up, the more fun you will all have!

I was really fortunate because my sisters wanted to plan my shower and therefore did all of the planning for me and inviting people. Mostly invited were family, friends and co-workers. It was nice and it was an all-girls shower.Although my OH did come at the end of the shower to thank everyone for coming and all of their generous gifts.
