Hiii there! So I put myself on baby aspirin. Bad, I know. I put myself on around 5 weeks but for the last 2 weeks or so, I have only been taking half of a pill cause I figure if a whole 81 mg does not hurt, then roughly 40 ish mg will def not hurt. I did not tell my OB, but that is because she does not deal with stuff like that and seems to think that it will not change the outcome. Soooo mamas who had success with baby aspirin, when did you stop? I read online to stop around 30 something weeks, but then a bunch of people stop around 12-14 weeks. Is taking a HALF of one even doing anything anyways? Or is it more so just making me feel better? I know I am sort of crazy for doing that, so please no "go talk to your dr about it" comments. I honestly wish I never put myself on it, but I did and from what I have read, it does not cause any issues at such a low dose. I was so desperate after 2 losses, obviously. Just if you have experience, please let me know. I have read that baby aspirin does not really do anything anyways, and that if there is a TRUE blood clotting issue, lovenox or something stronger is necessary. Not sure though as OF COURSE, it has not been researched extensively. Thank you for listening!

I stopped at around 12 weeks. GL!

I think I am stopping now too! I do not have any clotting issues, so I was taking it more so just to make myself feel better. Thank you!

I self-medicated too for the same reasons. I know it's scary, I researched for days before stopping :hugs:

It's more to help with implantation. It makes sense a teensy egg piercing the lining will have issues with mom's blood clotting wee a bit too fast, and baby aspirin helps that along. And maybe it'll help getting placenta nice & snug too. But once baby is firmly fixed, there's no harm in stopping if you don't have clotting disorder.

im currently taking baby aspirin, doctor prescribed. I started taking at 12 weeks and will be taking them to 38 weeks. so far so good, no blood clotting issues.

Hi, I've been taking as directed by my doctor, he said to stop at 34 weeks

My dr said stop at 12 weeks. I'd definitely bring it up with your doc if you plan to continue it past then.

I was put on it (50mg) at 15 weeks and was told to stop at 37 weeks.
