Hi folks was wondering if any of you swaddle your lo and if so when are you gonna stop or did stop. Katie is 19 weeks on sun and a very active little girl,i have tried putting her to sleep in a sleeping bag and she jumps about and doesn't settle, where as as soon as I put her In her swaddle blanket she settles and sleeps all night ::thumbup:.. She isn't rolling over yet just don't know when to stop

Advice great fully appreciated

I've heard once they start rolling you should stop. Our guy was really close to rolling so we stopped. It wasn't easy.. he probably still needed it to a degree but DH was really adamant so we stuck with it.
I know plenty of people who swaddled until 6 months or so and were just fine.

I swaddled with my ds arms free when he started rolling and did so till he was 6 mobths

My LO kicks and she thwacks herself in the face flailing in her sleep.. I dont swaddle her because I dont want her to get too warm, so I fold up one of her blankets into a strip, and tuck it under her mattress, and wrap it around her arms so she doesnt punch herself awake at night. When she wakes up, she pulls her arms free, so it's just enough to keep her from hitting herself in her sleep.. lol.. Really helps with her sleep, and keeps her from rolling over onto her belly when I want her sleeping on her back. :)

whenever you or your LO feel comfortable with not doing it any more. Personally I stopped swaddling DD when she was 3 months old because I got her from her crib one morning and the blanket was over her face. The following night I didn't swaddle her and she settled without a problem. She moves around so much in her sleep that I feel she is better off not being swaddled, but that is just her too. Every baby is different

i still swaddle and will do till i think hes ready to stop. hes definately not now at 5 months! ive said ill be happy to swaddle him till hes 3 and walking if i have to haha
last night he rolled on to his front but this was only because he got his arms free and he woke me up when he did it anyway cus he hates his front.
i find they cant actually roll when swaddled in a miracle blanket cus they have to get over their arms by their sides which is near impossible for my LO
