When to take clomid? cd2-6 or 5-9?

I usually take my clomid cd2-6 and I have a 19-20mm follicle by cd13. But this time I wanted to take it cd5-9 so that I can go for my hcg jab on cd17 instead of cd13. Also, usually, the FS says I have lots of small follicles and then I normally have one large one.

Maybe if I take clomid cd5-9, more than one might mature? I dont know why the difference?

What has your experiences been on clomid?

I take it CD1-5, everybody in my clinic does it this way. Apparently it helps more follicles to develope the earlier you take it.

However, in saying that, I have never o'd on time (on time being CD14 as the hospital would hope). Out of 3 cycles I o'd on CD17 and CD33ish - not really great progress in my books lol

I think it depends on what u take it for -I take it coz I do not ov on my own and so taking it 1-5 makes the follicles develope in the first place. Maybe if u do already ov, taking it 5-9 encourages them to grow big and strong.

I don't honestly know, just throwing some ideas into the mix!

I would seek a professionals opinion on this one hun. I take Clomid on CD's 5-9 but that's what my Gyno prescribed. I don't receive anything else though, no scans or HCG shots, so I don't know what those are best combined with.
