When to take clomid..??

Hi everyone

I've just started an induced period so that I can start my first course of clomid... I have to take them on days 2 to 6 but I'm confused about when I should take my first one because my 'proper' period hasn't really started yet (I don't think) - it's a browny red and quite light at the moment (sorry for too much info!)

Is this classed as spotting or should I be counting it as the first day of my cycle? Also, if I got the dates wrong because of this - how would this affect things??

i dont think one day would make much of a difference hun to be honest.i would class today as day one x

My Doctor told me to consider any bleeding as day 1...just to be sure I take my pills at night

Doctors precribe it for a variety of days between 2-9, so I don't think it matters if you are off by a day. I took it from 3-7, but others take it from 5-9.

i take mine 2-6 and class spotting as 1st bleed

i took mine 2-6 and didnt class spotting as cd1. i was on it for 6 months and classed the day i got my full af as cd1. im just about to start another 4 months of clomid 2-5 :S and i spotted the day before my full af came so i didnt class it. im now on cd2 but if i classed spotting as my period id be on cd3. im going to start my clomid tonight, my gyno said not to class spotting as af because at the time you dont know if it is your af, thats why they tell you to take it on cd2 so you know that it is actually your af by having full af before you start counting it.
