When to test progesterone levels?

I am now about 12 days past ovulation and something is definitely going on (I am always right about that), but last month I had a chemical and I wanted to get my progesterone levels tested this month to possibly take progesterone suppositories.
Would now be a good time? My period is 7 days away. I am not sure if I should take them but 2015, I had a healthy pregnancy after a chemical with progesterone starting at 6 weeks.

In my experience my progesterone was only tested in my first pregnancy following severe cramping and a bleed at around 6 weeks... and my ob would not prescribe it until a heartbeat was heard. Perhaps though your situation is very different than mine (I mean, obviously I have no idea) and you would be given progesterone at very different points of your cycle... didn't want to read and run Good luck.
