When to TTC after surgery to remove baby

Hi, I found out on the 24th March that I was pregnant I reached 10 weeks a week last Friday and had a scan because I had, had some spotting and was informed that babies heart had stopped and my pregnancy measured 8+ weeks. I could wait to miscarry naturally but I was so heart broken I just needed to get it over with so I could get my head straight again, so I went for the surgery D&C to remove the fetus and tissue etc, this was done a week last Saturday so 10 days ago. I am still getting dark positive tests at present. I was wondering how long it took everyone to get negative tests and their AF to arrive. I keep thinking maybe we could ttc anyway but Im scared of getting into a desperate feeling and then be upset if it doesn't happen rather than waiting xx

I had a D&C for a 14 week loss (baby's hb stopped at 13.5-14 weeks, found out on 14+1, surgery at 15+1) and it took 2 weeks for my hpts to go negative. AF showed 5 weeks to the day of my surgery. We were told to wait at least 1 cycle so my body could fully heal.

Sorry to you both for your losses

I had a d&c on 3/21 and was just over 8 weeks, baby didn't have a heartbeat and measured only 6w2d. Dr. also said initially to wait for one cycle. Had a followup visit around 3 weeks past the d&c -- and she said all was back to "normal" down there.

I am on week 8 and still no AF as of yet and no signs of her returning. I O'd last week and hubby and I haven't been preventing, so hoping to have caught the egg and have my rainbow. I don't want to get too excited about it though, but if AF was coming I would assume she would have shown her silly face already?

I had a doctor appointment a week last Friday and decided to ask him how long we need to wait, and he said there isn't any medical resons for waiting it is purely down so they can date you, which a scan can do anyway! so we decided to start trying straight after the 2 week which we were told to wait cos if risk of infection. so now its a just a case of waiting I suppose we are gonna keep trying until the end of the month then take a test and go from there, because really we are unsure exactly when to test etc.
