hi honey i went last week and she was so unhelpful so will wait til end of this week and book into see a different doctor. this is just so frustrating just want to know wat the hell is going on with my body!!! x sylvia x

Maybe ask directly for them to bring on your 1st af - coming up to 10 weeks I can't see why they couldn't hx

It's possible you didn't ov this cycle....

hi honey i had a positive opk 3 weeks after losing little one so have ovulated which is even more confusing!!! x sylvia x

actually it was 4 weeks and 3 days after losing my little one that i ovulated hd to check my diary!! lol x sylvia x

Almost 10 wks and still no AF?! Poor you...maybe you should go back to the docs just to be sure you're not pregnant? I know they were unsympathetic last time but, like you say, you just want your body back to normal. I'm sure lots of docs just think we're crazed with hormones so they fob us off! I really hope you get back on track soon xx

Having lh hormone in your system doesn't guarentee that you've ov'd unfortunately - temping alongside would give a more accurate picture and even then it isn't definite - after a mc you can have a variety of unusual hormonal movements - also 4 weeks would be a massive luteal phase - the fertility specialist I'm seeing advised that the corpus luteum can only last a couple of weeks if you aren't pg - after which it breaks down so stopping production of progesterone and bringing on af. If you did ov then there there's the possibilty that it means you did not produce enough progesterone during your LP (it is the crash of progesterone levels that brings on AF).

Do you know when you got down to a negative level post mc?

The symtons in pg such as constipation, wind, nausea, sore boobs are due to the varying hormones produced to support your pg - they are pretty much the same hormones involved in the menstrual cycle and being post mc means that these same hormones could be there in varying quantities and giving you these symtons - or of course you could be pg ( which would be the preferred option obviosly :))

Either way - they can bring on your af relatively easily - they will confirm that you aren't pg first obviously - then at least you can get on with your new cycle and ttcing :)

:hugs: i feel ur pain hun, i got my af 9 weeks and 2 days after d&c, got 2 bfns too! :( really hope u get back on track soon x

awww hun i hope she shows soon and u can get back to ttc. maybe u need meds to boost ovulation? x

i have never wanted my period so much in my life!!!lol just want to move on. cant help thinking this is my fault cause of my age 41 on thurs and i have 2 beautiful kids from my 1st marriage 13 and 18 so big gap. when we decided to do this i was really unsure i could do it again but after losing my little one i realised i want this so much!! sorry for the rant but got no one else to talk to that understands this feeling x sylvia x

thankyou ladies forall your replies i actually feel better now i got all that out of my system!!! lol x sylvia x

If you didn't actually ovulate (even though you got a positive opk) you might miss your af and go straight into the next cycle? Might explain why you've gone so long without?

I would go back to docs just to rule out PG? When was your last BFN? I had lots of BFNs before my BFP i just fell pregnant before my 1st af. Good luck either way sweetie xxxx

thanks honey and i followed your thread and was so pleased when i saw you got a bfp congratulations!!! i got my last bfn this morning so god knows what is going on but my oh mentioned that my boobs have got veiny not sure if that makes sense!! lol x sylvia x

congrats hmu!!

minters, how many days did you test positive with opks out of interest? mine have been positive for 14 days running now, which i think means im surging constantly to try and kick an ovulation out which is failing, so the surge keeps happening again and thats apparently normal within the first cycle, and that will make the cycle much longer than it normally would be

i defo agree to go back to the drs, but my dr said that 8 weeks isnt unusual so that might be why you didnt get much help last time you went....from a medical perspective, you arent in too much out of that, but from a i-want-to-TTC perspective of course, veeery different.

hope the witch arrives soon
