Where is my tax credits payment?

I rang them last week and renewed for the coming year and then today I haven't had my payment. Are payments suspended while they work out your current entitlement? I am expecting to have to pay an overpayment as I got a promotion at work this year and so earned more than expected but it wouldn't be enough to stop me getting payments at all. Besides I would be surprised if they would have sorted it this quickly as only rang them last Wednesday. I don't get it

The best thing to do is ring them hun. I'm sure they will be able to explain what's going on x

Thanks yes just contacted them and it turns out a letter they sent us didn't get delivered and was returned to them so they suspended our payments. Been reinstated now

Oh that's awful I don't think we could manage without the tax credits payment. Have they said how long you will have to wait?

Just a few days hopefully. Yeah it was a bit of a worry when it didn't show up but thankfully no bills are due out just yet and we have food in the house
