I am in England at the moment and need to find some Alimentum so I can leave my baby with a nanny for a wedding reception. I don't think I can pump enough and she has a cow's milk protein allergy. I haven't seen in the grocery store aisles like back home and I don't see it on Mothercare or Babiesrus website either.

Also, does the UK have anything that tastes better than Alimentum/Nutrimigen and is also hypoallergenic? She can't stand the stuff!

Thanks!

Hi, I don't think that formula is available here.
My baby also has CMPA and is on Aptamil Pepti 1 milk which is hydrolyzed and apparently the best tasting. The only amino acid formulas I know of are Nutramigem AA and Neocate. Unfortunately you cannot get any of these without a prescription over here : (
If you really need some you coud try an NHS walk in center where you can see a Dr without registering and they may be able to help?

Unfortunately I don't know for certain, as we haven't had to change our milk that much for ds. However if it is a Soy based milk, rather than a cow's milk protein based formula, Boots sell various different brands, in powder and ready mixed versions.

My LO refused neutramigen and we're on aptamil pepti 1, it tastes (and smells) miles better.

I think you can order it to buy online but your best bet would be to go to a large pharmacy not a baby shop, a boots is probably your best bet. It's not prescription only but I think many places want a prescription for it from what I hear.

You can go to a walk in centre and get a prescription if you can't buy it.
