When I have a baby I plan on exclusive pumping or mixing formula with breastmilk not sure yet but still have plenty of time to choose. Lol
But I was wondering what bottles do you prefer. My sis uses doctor browns and I hate them. I live the classic gerber/evenflo glass and platex drop ins. Which do you think are better. Of if you know of better what do you use???

Dont write off the DR Browns just yet......they are a god send if your baby is mega windy or colicy. I had to switch to them from Avent at 2-3 weeks old....but switched back to avent at 13 weeks as the wind issues were back to normal.
I hate tomee tippee botttles...the teats collapse and leaked all over.
But i presume you're in the states if you mention gerber? So i might not be all that much help....otherwise i would stick to avent and dr browns.
A lot is personal preference though.

xx

avent were fine but luisa had terrible colic she didnt like tommee tippie ones and the dr browns are a life saver

i wish we had started with them tbh

I bought the playtex ventair bottles obviously havent used them yet lol hes not born but my SIL uses them for her kid and she loves them

My LO is almost 3 months old, and I've been exclusively pumping and also 50% formula. (I can't produce enough milk).

We've been using Playtex Ventair and they are working very well. Don't bother using the Wide Bottle ones if you're not planning on breastfeeding because those ones are to help with nipple confusion. If you plan on using those ones, go for the 'Standard Nipples'. I find that Cameron doesn't lose as much sucksion when eating, and gets less gas :)

Good luck :)

Yup I'm in new york city lol so I've never heard of the tippee bottles. But you are right about the dr.browns bottles ill keep that in mind. I'm going to look up the tippee bottles though. I find that a lot of the baby products out side the states are much better and come in a larger variaties. ESPICALLY THE STROLLERS AND PRAMS I think I may decide to order a stroller from over seas its just the shipping. Lol but back to the bottles. Thanks for the info:)

Thank you. Exactly how is the 50/50 going with you. Do you mix breakmilk with formula or do you alternate?

I use Dr. Brown's bottles. They were a lifesaver. At first Elle was drinking from the Similac bottles & nipples from the hospital. Then we ran out of nipples that fit the bottles, so I bought the Gerber nipples & rings - they fit on the Similac bottles from the hospital. That night was the worst night ever. Elle was up crying with horrible gas pains. Next day we tried the Advent bottles I got from my baby shower. She still didn't like them. We also tried the drop in bottles. No go. I read online to try Dr. Brown's. Once she started them, the gas went away. She just loves them!

Good luck.

I alternate. It's about 60% formula, and 40% breastmilk lately..... I try to keep an even amount of each, each time I feed, but sometimes I'll go 3-4 times of purely formula, or vise versa :)
