Girls or boys names?

I've found 2-3 boys names which I absolutely love and am unlikely to change my mind.

Girls names however - a different story! I just cannot find a single girl's name I like anywhere near as much as the boys ones!

Anyone else feel them same!?! :)

Yes girls names are harder for me too. There are so many to choose from, and I have more associations with people I've known with specific girls names that ruin them for me. (Like I may know 40 Davids, so the one nasty David I know doesn't ruin the name for me.)

I think I'm far too picky!
So many names have been discounted 'cause I know someone already with said name!

I find boys names much harder- I have a list as long as my arm of girls names, but I am having a boy this time and we are really struggling.

When I was pregnant with LO I had a massive list of girls names and we basically couldn't agree on one boys name .. and what do you know, when he came out he was a boy! Now I have a son I seem to favour boys names! It's strange how it goes!

I found boy's names much harder...

So many beautiful, pretty feminine names i love for girls...!

But with boy names i was torn between modern or traditional... trendy or unique... and i worried about boy names that are becoming more popular for girls/unisex names... bc i don't think a girl would mind having a unisex name but i think a guy might... plus i worried about a name being "dorky" or something that other boys would tease him about....

I didn't worry about any of those things with girl names.... just wanted something pretty for a girl...

Girls names were way harder for us, me and DH pretty much agreed on boys names but had completely different ideas on girls names. xx

I don't know if it is coincidence but i find that people tend to be able to easily find names for the sex they are having and can not think of names for the other sex. It has been true with most of my friends.....

Do you mean once they've found out what they're having or what they think they're having?
I'm convinced I'm having a girl even though I want a boy heh :)

No i mean what they are having before they even found out the sex. For example, we just thought of loads of boys names we loved and had a boy. Totally stuck with girls. My friend had a girl and was stuck for boys names etc. It has been like that with everyone i know and like i say it was from early pregnancy!

Oooooh I hope this is true for me :D!

We had a million favourite girls names picked, I was convinced bubs was a girl. I envisioned calling her a certain name for years. Then at the sonographers office when we found out bububs was a boy the first thing that entered my head was 'omg I have no boys names!'

So yes, girl's names are much easier for me :D
