I really want another goddess themed name for this baby to go with Hebe.

I have looked at Greek, Roman, Japanese, Norse, Hindu...THE LOT!

These are the only 2 that me and OH BOTH like.....:dohh:

Rumina - roo-mee-na

Hemera - h-mair-ah

Which do you think goes with Hebe best (for those who dont know he-be)

:D

Of the two i think rumina is less likely to be pronounced wrong xx

Hey Hun! :hugs:

I said Hemera, I love the goddess names. There are lots of other names I like too but they are usually the bad girl goddesses. LOL

will you go with a name of one of the gods if you are Team Blue?

i really like them both hon! i think Rumina goes best with Hebe though, but then think Hemera goes well too!
i love your theme! i have a big thing for shakespearean names, maddi was nearly regan! def like them for next one :D

I always liked the name Persephone...a great mythological name. Rumina is easy to pronounce...like it better.

Sarah - I can imagine having a boy at all!! But we have two names already for a boy

Henry (but known as Harry) Richard David or George Richard David....Richard is my dad and David was OH's......very traditional eh? Talk about from the sublime to the ridiculous.....

Carly - I love Shakespearean names too! :D Hermione is my fav.

oh lisa i love harry! gorgeous name! we have Joseph (Joey) for a boy, after my gramps, i no, i love traditional boys names and more different girls names too, that i suppose maddilynne, if spelt correctly, is quite traditional! x

hermione is one of my fav's too! and cordelia and regan :)

I have a friend called Cordelia ( Cords ) - That's lovely too :) x

I also love the name Persephone

I have a niece called Lorelei - not sure where that's from though.
How about Ophelia?

Out of those i prefer hemera although it does read as though it would be pronounced " he-mee-ra " not the way you said so could very well get pronounced wrong BUT having said that even the straight forward of names still get pronounced wrong.
Hemera sounds soooooooooooo pretty!

hope you don't mind me being honest but hemera sounds a bit too like hemorrhoids for me.
I have always loved Hebe and we've got a big Hebe bush outside our house which is so pretty and reminds me of your little pudding everytime!
Just a suggestion but i have a niece called indira which is apparently a goddess name in hindu or a similar religion, i love that too!

I dont mind at all hun!! I appreciate the feed back!! When we said we were going to call her Hebe my dad thought I'd said Ebay!!!!

Indira is nice but I dont love it.....also I have a friend who's little girl is India so I'm thinking it's a bit too similar.....:?

x

I really like Hemera! Rumina reminds me of ruminating personally, so I wouldn't choose it...

Lorelai was a pretty young girl that sat on top of a rock overlooking the river Rhine in Germany, brushing her hair and singing and making sailors crash their ships in the difficult waters below because they were distracted by the beauty of her voice. :D

How about Lillith?

How do you pronounce Lorelai?? I like the look of it and I think I like the sound of it! :D

Lillith is lovely but we have a Lillian in the family......

Thanks!
