I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce the first one...so you have to think that in school and outside of her family, she may end up getting teased or constantly having people mispronounce her name...not very fair, especially when she gets olders. She'll be constantly correcting and explaining what her name is.

Sophie Rose is nice and so is Aimee Rose

My opinion is no on "Niamh"

The first one reminds me of my fave girl name, which is Noemi - love it! I agree that Niamh MAY be confusing for pronunciation but I think it is more original than Sophie.
I would be calling a daughter Noemi... but we are having a boy!:dohh:
Gd Lk!

hi there, both are lovely names

i work in a school and both amiee and sophie pop up quite a bit in most year classes (dont know if that helps?)

i named my daughter .... Ashley Rose...... and she is the only Ashley in the school! admitidly its a small village school! lol (hope this helps)

all the best xxxx

I think Niamh is common enough in England that pronounciation won't be a problem! I like it as it's a bit more unusual

I prefer Sophie Rose - although i think sophia rose would be even prettier xxxx

Sophie Rose!
I LOVE the name Sophie - it's our name for if we have a little girl.
xx

My dd is Sophie, and i think it is such a beautiful name but then i am totally bias!!

My friends dd is called Niamh and she spells it Niamh but prounounces it 'ni ya' and although i think 'ni ya' is pretty i can never spell it without looking it up!(just had to then!) and everyone must read it and say it as 'neve' or is that just me?

Anyway Sophie 100%!!:happydance:

I really like Sophie Rose -- Love Sophia tho, & Sophie for short...

I like the name Sophie, but I prefer Niamh. Uncommon but not so uncommon that no one will have heard of it or struggle to pronounce it after being told once! Niamh sounds feminine and elegant, and that's the one I would personally choose. BUT, it is your baby and she WILL come out and one of the 2 names will just stick.

I prefer Naimh, one of my fav names but i always spell it Neve.

Niamh Aimee Rose I know loads of people called sophie my two best friends at school were both sophies its a common name but popular I guess

i LOVE irish names so Niamh gets my vote it means Brightness; beauty its popular in Ireland but is dieing out with all these new names coming along,Sophie is lovely but its VERY popular i work in a school and we have 2 in our class i have always had a Sophie in my room in all 4 years ive worked there lol

Sophie rose..but Sophie is one of my fave names tho:pxx

They are both lovely. Sophie Rose just edges it for me.
